Born and raised in Southern California, Amber Wang is a TEDxWhitney speaker and junior at Gretchen Whitney High School. She is interested in anything humanities-related because she loves learning about people, but she's still working on her people skills. At school, she can be found banging it out on the taiko drums or getting heated over classroom debates, but at home, she likes to take naps or chill on the front yard with the stray cats. Amber loves experiencing stories through books (fanfiction), music, and spoken word. She plans on publishing a collection of her poetry someday, but for now she enjoys sharing her work on her Instagram poetry account, @amb.irb.
