Growing up with autism, I struggled with socializing, communicating, and felt misunderstood whenever I tried to make friends, which caused me to be lonely and bullied. I didn’t have anybody that could’ve comforted me when I needed it most; all I wanted to do was express my creativity and emotions to somebody. With no one there for me, writing was the only way I could be myself. I didn’t realize at the time, but the older I grew, the more I realized how much writing was important to me. Now I’m 17 years old, a senior in high school, about to experience the real world, with a dream of becoming a successful writer in any genre and medium of story-telling.
