Elisabeth Adwin Edwards is a graduate of Boston University School of Theatre Arts' four-year professional actor training program and received rigorous training in acting Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. For over twenty years, she enjoyed a successful career as a regional theater actor, treading the boards of some of the country's most respected venues, including the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C., the Huntington Theatre in Boston, the Intiman in Seattle and the Utah Shakespeare Festival, where she spent five seasons. She has taught voice and speech workshops to young actors, and the general public. Since settling in Los Angeles, she has shifted her focus to poetry; her work has appeared in Rogue Agent, ASKEW, Serving House Journal, Melancholy Hyperbole, Menacing Hedge, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, and other publications. Her chapbook, The Way I Learn To Take It Like A Girl, won the 2018 These Fragile Lilacs Chapbook Contest, judged by William Fargason, and is now available (https://www.thesefragilelilacspoetry.com/chapbook-competition-results). She lives full-time in the city with her artist-husband, twelve-year- old daughter and a tarantula.
