Jamie Asaye FitzGerald writes poetry and personal essay. Her poems are forthcoming in Works & Days and have appeared in other journals including Literary Mama, Media Cake, poeticdiversity, Snow Monkey, Speechless the Magazine, the anthologies Hunger and Thirst and Ariel XXII, as well as on Seattle public buses. Her essay, “Loose Sushi,” was recently published by Discover Nikkei, as part of its Itadakimasu! project. She is the recipient of an Academy of American Poets College Prize from the University of Southern California and received an MFA in poetry from San Diego State University.
