Jennie Miller first fell in love with poetry when she was eight, after reading and memorizing “The Duel” by Eugene Field. Reading Cummings in high school and Eliot in college only solidified her love of the form. She went on to earn her BA in English Literature from Willamette University and has worked in a variety of fields since--from transcription to after-school education--so long as the fields kept her close, in some way, to words. To this day, she loves discussing etymology with her oma, and makes a point to attend her writer's critique group every Tuesday at six.
