My name is Kirsten Song and I am a senior at Edgewood Highschool in West Covina, CA. I am the president of Poetry Club at my school and I love to write and perform spoken word. My wonderful English teacher Mr. Michael was the one to get me motivated for spoken word in junior year and I have continued to advance and increase my performance techniques. I plan to major in Cognitive Science to become a science teacher and hope to create a poetry club for my students so they can see the wonders of writing and performance. Other than poetry, I am also in Varsity basketball, NEHS, and I love to play the ukulele and sing. I hope to inspire others about the beauty of poetry in the future.
