Laura Sturza writes news and opinion pieces, fiction, plays and handwritten letters. Her journalism career began one week after September 11, 2001, when the Burbank Leader (an LA Times Community Newspaper) hired her to cover the airport beat. Her stories tracked the vast changes in the post-9/11 airline industry Laura’s other gigs have included dance company manager, antique dealer, graduate student advisor, marketing director for loft condos, census taker and adjunct professor of communication.
