Peggy Dobreer is a former dancer. She brings 30 years of theatre and somatic training to her E=Mc2Bodied Poetry Workshops and Slow Lightning, M-F guided meditation writing practice. Slow Lightning Lit has just released Dobreer’s first editing endeavor, Slow Lightning: Impractical Poetry, including Brendan Constantine, Janet Fitch, David Francis, Jacinta Camacho Kaplan, Carrie Nassif and others.Dobreer is a three-time Pushcart Nominee and winner of the Downey Symphony Orchestra Poetry Matters Prize, 2017. She is widely anthologized and has two full length collections with Moon Tide Press, In the Lake of Your Bones 2012 and Drop and Dazzle 2018.She is currently developing her chapbook, Forbidden Plums: Poems in Quarantine, written in the first 40 days of the pandemic and just released by Glass Lyre Press into a full collection.
