John Lasseter's first movie

Everyone starts somewhere.
John Lasseter, whose birthday is this week, made this short in 1984, when we worked at The Graphics Group, which was part of Lucasfilm. It’s a groundbreaking – and very fun – computer animated short. The Graphics Group became Pixar, and Lasseter became its chief creative officer, directing and executive producing an unparalleled string of joyous, standard-setting animated films along the way.
Here’s where it all began. Happy birthday week, John!
