These last few days I’ve been thinking a lot about just how awful primates can be to each other. However, I was able to find a pair of monkeys who couldn’t be more different, expressing their fondness for one another. The blue-faced Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey comes from Southwest China while the long-nosed Proboscis Monkey lives on the island of Borneo.
They may not seem to have anything in common, other than their species facing extinction. Perhaps we as humans can learn from these two by being kind and compassionate to each other, despite how extreme our differences may be.
