Our Editor is Launching a Patreon

Hello, readers.

This is Chiwan Choi. I am one of the editors of Cultural Weekly. I am also a poet, with three books published, currently working on the fourth. I have also written here on these pages.

I am writing this post to announce I’ve launched a Patreon. For those who don’t know, Patreon is a micro-patronage platform, where you can commit a few dollars each month, to support an artist. To become their patron.

There are tiers, from $5 a month to $100 a month. My goal is to reach $1200 per month, which will give me so much room and flexibility to not only continue working on Cultural Weekly, but to finish my book (and give it away for free), to develop a couple of podcast projects, to support a new lending library project called The Yellow House in Nigeria with some of the amazing young Nigerian poets we’ve published on these pages, and to continue pushing the boundaries of community building. Oh and of course, supporting my wife here in Pittsburgh as she continues working on her PhD.

Become a Patron!

Please visit my Patreon page and I hope you’ll consider supporting me as I do what I have always done—develop ideas and create art that move people and impact communities.

Thank you.
