Glaciers bleed!
Knives of carbon did the deed.
Wounds are deep; the ice may die.
Tie a tourniquet, take heed!

Forests burn!
Bear and mountain lion learn
Agonies of blistered paws.
Red death gnaws the lady fern.

Willow oak
Smolders in a sea of smoke
That displaces day with dark.
Lifeless bark wears sooted cloak

Cut from greed.
Now the flames we kindled feed
On the bones of paradise.
Grieve for ice as glaciers bleed.
