Destiny 2
Millions of people have stuck with the FPS MMO that Bungie made. Destiny 2 players are happy to do the same tasks over and over again to get the best gear. This shows how skilled the developers who made Halo are at making guns that feel great. It can be tough for new players to catch up to more experienced ones, but if you’re a new player, don’t worry about it too much. There’s a Destiny 2 carry service. Thanks to it, you can easily complete the Pantheon challenge and get a Flawless run in Trials of Osiris.
Overwatch 2
Overwatch 2 has a good mix of heroes and game types to play with thanks to seasonal updates. We think it’s one of the best online games out there right now and the best free-to-play Western FPS we’ve ever played.
Halo Infinite
While 343 Industries works hard on new Halo games, Halo Infinite is on the rise. A string of popular changes to the game have made it easier to customize, added AI to Forge, and added a co-op Firefight mode. There are a lot of playlist choices in multiplayer, the range of maps is finally good enough, the challenge system is almost perfect, and Infinite’s combat is still great. There are also more players, about 487 thousand monthly, which suggests that it’s not just me who plays Big Team Battle every night after work. There are still a lot of real complaints in the community, but a Halo game that runs like butter still gets pretty good marks.
Deep Rock Galactic
We’re seeing a rise in co-op first-person shooters, and Deep Rock is a great example of this. Ghost Ship Games did almost everything right. Deep Rock has some of the best first-person shooter gameplay out there, even though it looks very low-poly. Its procedurally produced tasks can be played over and over again because each of the four classes has very different skills and a different path to progress. Since mining is an important part of tasks, the best co-op moments usually involve both killing bugs and setting up a clutch zipline or platform to reach an ore seam that is in a dangerous place.
