Happy New Year! 2020 is here!
And Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival: Round 3 (D2D) ended with a bang!
Once again, this year D2D received entries from all over the world with winning films representing Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. In addition, we gathered together an exceptionally stellar panel of judges, we were invited to screen at REDCAT with my alma mater of screen dance fests – Dance Camera West, and in addition to a myriad of generous donors (who will be named in our next issue of ScreenDance Diaries) received a wonderful sponsorship from Dance Gap Year who underwrote the submission fees for 10 lucky dance filmmakers. And, after meeting and adjudicating, our judges elected to change some of the names of the awards as well as add a new award…
Most Daring Film. What could be more fitting?
