Soul Force
Living in an imperfect world in which we are gifted free will by God is bound to be hard.
We live in an imperfect community as imperfect beings with mistake after mistake sewn into the history of our nation.
In a world where the rich get richer and the poor become poorer,
The homeless stay homeless,
The corrupt get corrupter,
The empowered stay in power,
The voiceless become silenced,
& the minorities stay minor.
When the very system meant to allow the weak a chance begins to crumble we must remember that we all carry an inner strength that those corrupt and empowered men and women will never know.
A strength that transcends titles,
A strength that never wavers,
A strength that transcends societal roles,
A strength that transcends external recognition.
They can’t take our,
Soul Force!
They may attempt to take our Soul Force,
To attempt to silence us with oppression and fear
But they can’t take our,
Soul Force!
We are all born and made in the likeness of God,
From our very birth we are equal in the eyes of God.
In an imperfect world filled with imperfect children of God,
No man or woman or individual is lesser or greater than the other.
They attempt to silence us out of fear but they do not understand that especially in silence,
They can’t take our,
Soul Force!
To lead right and true we must lead with who we are at our very core.
Everyone possesses the capacity for goodness but we are corrupted by fear and ignorance.
Show me your courage,
Show me consistency,
Show me your,
Soul Force!
No individual should live in fear,
No individual should live oppressed,
No individual should live in cages like animals.
No entity should ever be so powerful or untouchable,
No entity should kidnap and encroach on the rights of the least of us.
No entity should possess the ability to deny us the right to live.
No entity should possess the ability to take a life from an individual.
No entity should manipulate and take advantage of those in lesser positions.
Yet they do.
They do because we have,
Soul Force.
They are envious and bitter.
Yet we have the gift of clarity because we have,
Soul Force.
We as a nation possess the power to take back our power.
We were built upon We the people not We the politicians.
They work for us and now in this time filled with hate and uncertainty it is our responsibility to ensure that we are heard.
This our purpose because we have,
Soul Force.
We are resilient because we have,
Soul Force.
In a world where our politicians manipulate and represent selfish interests we must respond.
However, we must not react.
We must influence without overpowering.
We must lead from the heart,
Strong and centered in love for our neighbor.
Because we have,
Soul Force.
We must nurture curiosity and knowledge.
They strive to darken our minds and keep us ignorant.
We must parent wisdom and a thirst for knowledge.
We must show up for our neighbors because if we let our politicians have their way they will no longer show up.
This path is not easy,
This path requires courage and heart but we must choose integrity over ease because we have,
Soul Force.
We must elevate our siblings.
We must elevate our world.
We can elevate our siblings,
We can elevate our world because we have,
Soul Force.
We must choose a world in which families do not fear being torn apart.
We must choose a world in which no one individual or entity is above one another because in the end,
God will run up to us one day and shower us with love,
But if we can’t choose love now,
How will we choose love when met with love itself?
