Pichchenda Bao was born in Cambodia at the end of the Khmer Rouge regime. She and her parents came to the United States as refugees in the 1980s, and now she lives, writes and raises her children in New York City. She has received support and fellowships from Aspen Words, Queens Council on the Arts, Bethany Arts Community, and Kundiman. More at pichchendabao.com.
