Tony Gloeggler is a Brooklyn, Queens guy who before retiring managed group homes for developmentally disabled folks for over 40 years. He’s been getting poems in various journals since the late 1980s and has published 4 chapbooks and 5 full length ones. The first chap, One On One, received the 1998 Pearl Poetry Prize. Pavement Saw Press published his first full-length collection, One Wish Left, in 2001 and it went into a 2nd printing. The next 4 were published by NYQ Books. A somewhat recent one, What Kind Of Man, was long listed for Jacar Press' Julie Suk Award and named as a finalist for the 2021 Paterson Poetry Prize. His newest collection, Here On Earth, was published by NYQ Books 1/26.
