Another fine video from our friends at NPR Music — this time featuring jazz harpist Brandee Younger, who has graced recordings by those considered jazz royalty, as well as by Grammy-winning hip hop artists. Here she receives an assist from one of today’s best young jazz bassists, Dezron Douglas. The setting is the unusually exotic confines of The Evolution Store on Spring Street in New York’s SoHo District. Here you will find everything from human skulls and globes, to stuffed animals and preserved insects. Unusual indeed, but also the perfect setting for the unique sounds that Younger and Douglass craft with the pluck of a few fingers.
