Once again, I,
Spent the last 20 dollars in my wallet in an artist alley
Ate a sweet treat rather than saving up for a new car
Bought a new journal that I will probably never use
Saw love and wondered if I would have that in my life
Saw hate and wondered if I would still have that in my life
Hide a part of myself for safety
Somehow in a mine, rock formations of my own troubles
Somehow in a mine, gemstones made from my pressure
Lost track of time, seeing the street lights go from LED to fluorescent to copper-stripped lights
Need to get a root canal due to a combination of genetics and the waiting game of insurance
Warm water recipes of lemon and honey, or saltwater swishing, cure-all in the urgent care
Seeing the news and ignoring it.
Getting a silly sticker just because I need a memory to hold on to
Getting a pastry to have a reason to come by
Getting a book to fill memories and stories
Getting a glimpse of someone playful fighting for paying for an item the other person wants
Getting a glimpse of snakes in the DMs and rompers spreading
A pick-and-choose vocal pitch, secrets, truths, beliefs, and masks of me
Walking in between a tunnel of my own canary cries
Walking in between the jewels and awards
Driving underneath the lights on a night drive and experiencing county line changes
The generational recipes, education, and my own fault into adulthood
The doctor recommends the same thing my family has said before going to the hospital
Bills and payments taking priority.
A broken clock is right twice a day.
Once again, I,
