Once upon a time, this lovely winged couple celebrated a different era, one of peace and dogged renewal from the 2nd Great Depression delivered to us all by (lest we not forget) Alan Greenspan, who apologized for the multibillion dollar loss we are still paying by saying, “I made a mistake.” (For real!) His more recent Republican descendants have screwed you again – unless you’re in the heady less than 1% of Richie Richies who got the booty from the Trump tax cut. (Yeah, right…) So now you’re sitting down to dinner with the Hatfields and the McCoys of political discourse. Be patient. Be kind. Just so you know, the carving knife is for the bird. This is all to remind you that things change, life goes on, Mother Nature will restore herself and we (including songstress Gloria Gaynor) will survive. Glad tidings of comfort and joy (I know it’s the wrong holiday for that but what the heck) and love, sweet love, no matter what. Happy Thanksgiving!
